Whether you are seeking addiction treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, or are enrolled in our dual diagnosis treatment, the packing list for residential rehab looks similar. Remember, now is the time to focus on recovery! This means packing the necessities and staying away from items that may distract you from the healing process. Necessities for residential treatment:

Clothing:

• Undergarments
• Socks/Slippers
• Comfortable clothing (modest and loose-fitting is best!)
• Sweater or jacket\*
• Sleepwear
• Dressier outfit for special occasions
• Comfortable shoes or sandals

\*While our programs take place in sunny California, it is important to remember that nights can be chilly! Pack warm clothes for early mornings and evenings!

Personal Hygiene

• Prescription Medications
• Glasses/contacts/hearing aids/etc.
• Shampoo and Body Soap
• Razor
• Toothpaste/toothbrush

NOTE: Over-the-counter medications will need to be approved by our addiction specialists!

Documentation

• Insurance Cards/ Evidence of Insurance coverage
• ID Card (i.e. Driver’s License)
• Checkbook or a small amount of cash for some purchases, if necessary
• Additional paperwork required by our admissions team

Comfort Items for Those Seeking Addiction Treatment

Addiction treatment can be an emotional process! We encourage all of our residents who are undergoing drug addiction or alcohol addiction treatment to bring along approved comfort items that will make their stay in our treatment center more enjoyable, and provide comfort during challenging days. These comfort items may include:

• Books

• Photos of family and friends
• Journal
• Stamps and envelopes to write letters
