Northbound Treatment Services is a proud member of NAMI, and we are driven by the same desire to eliminate the stigma associated with having mental health issues. The Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) provides education and resources for collegiate recovery programs and communities. Department of Health Care Services

The Department of Health Care Services (DCHS) is the State of California’s licensing and certifying agency for substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs, and they are responsible for enforcing applicable regulations and standards across all facilities.  The DHCS is a dynamic department with ambitious goals and a talented, committed staff working hard each day to fulfill their vital responsibility to support the delivery of quality healthcare to Californians.  All Northbound facilities are licensed and certified through the DHCS, and their oversight and guidance are particularly important to the organization’s standards of care.

A&E: Intervention

Interventionis an Emmy® Award-winning docuseries on A&E Network that profiles people suffering from addiction. This episode centers around Justin, whom we follow from his opiate addiction to sobriety, thanks to the compassionate guidance of Northbound Treatment. After the show, Justin went on to complete 150 days of treatment, and enter our year-long outpatient program while going to college.

Paul AlexanderPaul Alexander is the founder and CEO of Northbound Treatment. He received his Certified Addiction Treatment Specialist training at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA, and was awarded Outstanding Alumni Service Award in 2002. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology, Law and Society, Summa Cum Laude, from University of California, Irvine, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. He believes wholeheartedly in transformational leadership, organizational health and effective, fully integrated substance use disorder treatment.
