What Makes Northbound’s Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center Special?
Newport Beach offers some of the most stunning landscapes in all of California. Situated between San Diego to the south and Los Angeles to the north, Orange County has a casually sophisticated vibe that makes it uniquely its own. Reminiscent of the Mediterranean with 42 miles of pristine beaches, this area of Southern California is rich in natural beauty and is bursting with personality and charm. Patients participating in our drug and alcohol treatment programs are not only surrounded by encouraging and supportive staff members, but also get to go through the recovery process in one of the most beautiful locations in all of California.
Northbound’s incredible success rates are due, in part, to our InVivo® drug rehab program model, which empowers participants to interact with the outside world while in a supportive and safe clinical setting. Our philosophy and ultimately our success rates, prioritize community in every aspect of treatment.
In Newport Beach, interacting with the outside world is more than a simple distraction, it can be a truly fun experience. The beach is often a regular part of our day with our surf enthusiasts catching waves twice a week. We take trips to Sequoia National Park, visit the grocery store, get together for barbecues, and we even work out together on a regular basis.
Substance Use in Newport Beach
Unfortunately, there have been substance abuse-related hospitalizations and ED visits throughout the entire state of California. Newport Beach is no exception to this problem. Between 2011 and 2015, there were a total of 223 emergency department visits for opioid-related issues. During this same period of time, over 40 people died because of opioid use; that’s an average of 8 people per year.
Needless to say, many people are feeling the impact of substance abuse and. Sadly, there are multiple families in this area that will never be the same, having lost a loved one to opioid use. Thankfully, there are many options for individuals seeking addiction recovery in Newport Beach that can help prevent more families from experiencing this kind of loss. Facilities like ours here at Northbound Treatment Services work to offer hope and help to those who are suffering from addiction. We’re committed to bringing peace and healing to those in need.
Dual Diagnosis in Newport Beach, Orange County
Along with the occurrence of addiction in California, there are also many cases of dual diagnosis in the area. Many individuals who suffer from substance use disorders (SUDs) also suffer from the effects of mental health disorders. These disorders may include the following:
- Personality Disorder
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
The California Health Care Almanac gives information regarding mental health in the state. According to the report, 34.4% of the adults who received services for mental health had a mental illness and a substance use disorder.
Many people who are living with co-occurring disorders struggle to find the right kind of help. Thankfully, our drug and alcohol rehab center also offers treatment for those who are living with mental health disorders. We understand the difficulty of managing symptoms of mental illness while trying to overcome addiction. So, we provide help and hope for those who are working through these challenges.
Detox in Newport Beach, Orange County
It’s true. The number of substance abuse and dual diagnosis cases in California is absolutely sobering. It’s important, imperative even, for individuals in this state to have access to professional help. Rehab and treatment services should be available to each one who is struggling. Whether an individual is dealing with alcoholism or opioid abuse, whether the person is facing depression or anxiety, there should be hope for that person no matter what. That’s what we aim to provide here at Northbound Treatment Services.
At our facility, we offer detoxification services to help people begin their journey to addiction recovery. We work to make sure each individual who comes to us for help receives the best of care. Through our detox program, our clients can end their physical drug or alcohol dependence.
Our drug and alcohol detox programs are about more than just helping people end substance use. We’re committed to helping individuals find true freedom from addiction. It is extremely difficult to stop using a substance that the body depends on. Individuals who attempt to do so will likely experience serious withdrawal symptoms. This is not only uncomfortable, but it can also be unsafe if people try to work through this period without professional supervision.
Thankfully, our team here at Northbound is aware of the challenges of withdrawal. Since this is the case, people who come to us for help can work through withdrawal without fear. We strive to make this first step of recovery as comfortable and as safe as possible. Whether you are in an inpatient or outpatient treatment program, Northbound assures the best patient care to tackle your substance abuse. So, if you or someone you know needs help ending an addiction problem, please allow us to assist!

Who We Are
At Northbound Treatment, we know that not all addictions are created equal, which is why we personalize each treatment plan to cater to the needs of our patients. Addiction is an illness that takes hold of its host until the individual has long control of their life and themselves. It does not discriminate, nor does it have an explanation. Simply put, addictions are ruthless, able to destroy lives, breakup families, and even kill in unfortunate circumstances. At Northbound, we are here to end that. In fact, our goal is to give all recovering addicts a happy ending. Because that’s what everyone deserves in life – second chances to realize their greatest potential.
At our treatment center, quality and attention to detail are our founding principles. Offering a team of top doctors, therapists, psychologists, and addiction counselors, we make sure that all of our clients will receive the best treatment possible as soon as they walk through our doors. Our staff makes sure that all of our patients are given personalized treatment, attention, and guidance so they can reach their greatest version of themselves – one that’s free of addiction.
We know that not all addictions are the same and that addicts have different needs on their path to sobriety. Below are our top foundation programs that we offer:
- Residential treatment
- Extended care
- Outpatient treatment
