seeking treatment for my patient

Healthcare, addiction-focused, and legal providers are an integral part of the recovery process. You have likely developed a significant rapport with your client and their family. You are invested in their health and well-being, and Northbound wants you to continue to be. Once you have determined that your patient has a substance use or mental health disorder, the next step is to get them the treatment they need. Northbound will partner with you in working through all of the details, including conducting assessments to ensure an appropriate level of care and treatment placement, coordinating finances, engaging family members as indicated, and arranging logistics.

It is essential that your client’s needs are assessed and addressed comprehensively, including their medical, legal, family, employment, educational, and of course substance use and mental health issues. Northbound offers a full continuum of services with specialty programs and professionals available to support your client in each of these significant areas of their recovery. If your client is struggling with addiction or dual diagnosis, Northbound may be the next step in getting them on their way to recovery in an environment that is conducive to their needs.

Referring Professionals – Remain a Part of the Treatment Process

At Northbound, we see referring providers as an extended part of our treatment team and aim to stay connected with you throughout the process. To honor the meaningful relationship you have with your client and to ensure the highest quality of care, we will keep you up-to-date on your client’s progress and will welcome your ongoing insights and collaboration. We engage in physician-to-physician and clinician-to-clinician phone calls when indicated, as well as weekly email or phone call correspondence (or an alternate cadence if requested by you) to keep you updated on your client’s progress and to consult on any areas of concern. Following your client’s completion of treatment at Northbound, we will refer them back to you as part of their full continuum of care. We want to provide continuity and a transition that continues to support clients in their recovery and keeps you current on their progress so that you can build on this moving forward. From the first contact through aftercare, you are a valuable part of the team.
