This month, Recovery Campus interviewed Northbound’s President & Founder, Paul Alexander, to talk about his career in behavioral healthcare. His work spans over a 20 year time period and continues to evolve today.
Paul’s career began in the late 90’s, following his own entry into the recovery process. After 30 days of continuous sobriety, he enrolled in classes to become a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor. The success he experienced in school eventually led to him graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of California Irvine, and ultimately, Loyola Law School. His experience of supporting his recovery journey with his educational pursuits led to the development of a college program within a substance abuse and mental health treatment facility.
In 2008, Paul founded Northbound Treatment Services after 10 years experience in the clinical and administrative management of several prominent Orange County facilities. His impetus in creating Northbound was to continue to serve recovering young adults and their families, while creating a place of purpose for professionals in the field.
Focused on world-class client care and the principles of organizational health, Northbound is a 12 step based treatment program offering a wide variety of evidence-based therapies and transitional services to provide clients the opportunity to thrive in recovery and enjoy a fulfilling life.
Our Collegebound© Program empowers clients to further their education while in treatment and work towards their desired career path.
