For those who call St. Louis home, nowhere else in the world will do. This is the rare city with a quiet, Norman Rockwell-type charm. Nowhere are the people as polite or kind. Northbound is in the idyllic suburb Kirkwood, which is full of quaint details such as a stone-and-thatch train station, turn-of-the-century homes, and old-school diners.
In St. Louis, Northbound has created the city’s premier drugs and alcohol recovery community. While enrolled in any of our St. Louis programs (Outpatient, IOP, Sober Living), you will interact with the local St. Louis neighborhood. Our St. Louis drug rehab center alumni have formed a strong community. They meet regularly to lend emotional support and take part in activities we organize, such as attending baseball games or going to restaurants downtown. We continue to support the substance abuse recovery community of St. Louis by offering drug and alcohol addiction support services, family services and group therapy.

Program Manager, St. Louis
With 30 years of experience in the field of addiction, treatment, and recovery, Tina has worked in the entire continuum of care as a clinician, educator, supervisor, and manager. Tina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC), a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Diplomate CCDP-D and is “All But Dissertation” for her Ph.D. in Counselor Education. A longtime advocate for people in recovery and their families, Tina served for 13 years as a Council Member for the Missouri Recovery Network; a statewide recovery advocacy organization which educates people about the behavioral healthcare system, the process of policy and systems change, and advocacy. Tina was also chosen to participate in a 10-panel town hall discussion of addiction and recovery at the White House.
When joining the Northbound staff in April of 2016 Tina was most excited by Northbound’s statement “Our mission is to assist our clients in achieving one year of continuous sobriety.” Knowing how much change occurs in the first year with many obstacles to overcome, it is her goal to help clients remain sober long enough to experience some of the rewards of sobriety and to teach the full range of life coping skills necessary for a successful recovery. Client families are a critical part of this process and Tina shares in the joy of families healing together.
Director of Referral Relations, St. Louis
Tib has been a professional in the addiction recovery field since 1986. Having done so much for Northbound St. Louis as both a program counselor and manager in inpatient and outpatient adult, adolescent aftercare and family, Tib is well-qualified to facilitate clinical evaluations as well as family and workplace interventions. Such a diverse 28-year career has afforded him the opportunity to do what he values best — sharing his experience with many different co-workers and clients. “This operation is strictly a ‘we’ deal,” he says. Tib attended the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and completed the Chemical Independence Certificate Program through St. Louis Community College’s Meramec Campus.
Program Coordinator, St. Louis
Geno started in the addiction recovery field in 2004, eleven years before Northbound-St. Louis brought him onboard as a program coordinator. He co-facilitates most clinical programming, providing case management to clients in the intensive outpatient program (IOP), outpatient treatment and support levels of care. Daily work in program coordination in the city of St. Louis is profound for Geno. He grew up in western Massachusetts, where struggles with addiction for several years propelled him to the 12-step recovery rooms of Clayton County. Support in the local recovery community inspired Geno to pursue and complete his master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis with a concentration in individual and family practice. He is a credentialed substance abuse counselor and support specialist peer.
