Through these programs, our clients engage in education, therapy, life skills training, support groups, drug and alcohol testing, and more to continue building a solid foundation for their improved lifestyle.
Life After Addiction Rehab – How Transitional Programs Work
Transitional programs help to bridge the gap between treatment and a stable life in recovery. They give clients the guidance and support they need to get back on their feet and cope with real world challenges in a safe, healthy way. In transitional living programs, clients build confidence and focusing on building a comprehensive, fulfilling recovery lifestyle.
Northbound’s Transitional Living options include our Collegebound and Careerbound® programs as well as Sober Living placement assistance, all of which can be participated in along with any of our outpatient programs. Specialty clinical offerings distinguish each program, along with continued foundational services including therapy and psychiatric services, drug and alcohol testing, and 12-Step immersion. Our clients are empowered to make healthy decisions and set themselves up for success. They receive the support they need to rebuild their lives and continue with the progress they made during treatment.
Collegebound: Addiction Rehab for Young Adults
Northbound’s Collegebound program, supports those interested in pursuing their education while developing a thriving lifestyle of recovery. Whether the individual needs to complete high school, obtain a GED, or is interested in taking courses at local colleges, universities or trade schools, our Collegebound Program is here to help. Clients who choose to participate in this signature service receive educational coaching and ongoing support, tutoring, supervised study time, assistance applying for school, course selection mentoring, and help navigating transcripts and logistical issues with previous learning institutions. Residential clients also receive transportation services to and from class.
Careerbound®: Addiction Recovery Program
Whether you are re-engaging with an established career or looking for a new job, Northbound’s Careerbound® Program can help you make employment a healthy part of your recovery lifestyle. Our staff assists with job placement, work skills development, stress management, and more while supporting clients in balancing their career, personal life, and recovery efforts. Clients continue to participate in therapy, process groups, and 12-Step meetings.
Sober Living
Another transitional living service provided by Northbound is assistance with finding a quality sober living home that meets our client’s needs. Sober living facilities are drug- and alcohol-free and allow our clients to get a fresh start in a safe environment as they rebuild their life. These homes help our clients establish structure, routine, and healthy habits as they become part of a thriving recovery community.
