Northbound’s Residential Treatment Centers located in the coastal region of Orange County, California, are designed to support participants through the treatment experience. Our success rates are due to our InVivo® model, which empowers everyone to interact with the outside world, with all of its challenges, while in a safe and supportive clinical setting.
The Team at Northbound’s Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers
At Northbound, we have an interdisciplinary treatment team that collaborates with individuals who arrive at our Residential Treatment Centers in California to ensure that their treatment plan aligns with their unique needs and goals. Everyone in our Residential Treatment Program, is assigned a treatment team of up to six people that may include:
- A Case Manager
- ASAM Certified Addiction Psychiatrist
- Nationally Certified and Licensed, Masters-prepared primary therapist
- Licensed Addictions Counselor
- Masters-Prepared Trauma Therapist
- Music Therapist
- An Academic Advisor (when enrolled in Collegebound®)
This team is tasked with helping individuals succeed and ultimately thrive within this pivotal juncture on the path to long-term recovery, which is one of the many reasons why Northbound is different from other providers. Northbound’s highly trained therapists incorporate a wide range of evidence-based therapies within a trauma-informed environment in order to address the factors that underlie addiction and mental health disorders. Participants in our Residential Drug Rehab Orange County Treatment Program undergo a variety of assessments and evaluations to determine the best treatment plan for their individual needs.
Women and men have different needs and therefore successful treatment programs need to be sophisticated in order to respond and reflect those needs.
Our Residential Treatment Programs are gender-responsive, and account for the inherent differences in how addiction and co-occurring disorders impact men and women in the process of recovery. Research shows that men and women in gender specific alcohol and substance use treatment programs tend to stay in treatment longer and have better outcomes than those who don’t.
Women’s Residential Treatment Program
Northbound Treatment offers high-quality drug and alcohol treatment programs specifically created for women in Orange County, California. Northbound provides rehabilitation tailored for adult women to deliver successful recovery. While in a nurturing environment, our Women’s Residential Program through a variety of therapeutic techniques addresses the unique needs and challenges facing women as they work through substance abuse addiction. We hear continuously from our clients firsthand that women in this program feel safe, supported, and surrounded by compassion and care.
Christ Centered LINKS Residential Treatment Program
Addiction does not discriminate. It has no regard for gender, ethnicity, race, religion, or socioeconomic status. Individuals who are strong in their religious convictions will face the same struggles as those with no religious affiliations. However, faith can be a strong source of support in treatment and recovery. The name “LINKS” refers to the link between the best practices of addiction medicine and the principles of Christianity.
What is In Vivo®?
Recovery is not lived in a bubble, and true fulfillment is about living in the moment. While the right environment is key to lasting recovery, and often clients need a structured and safe environment for treatment, they also need to learn how to function in the real world. Ultimately when challenges and temptations arise, clients need to be prepared to handle these situations in an effective manner.
Our deeply rooted philosophy is thus trademarked our In Vivo® Model, and refers to how we help our clients learn, develop and adapt to living life on life’s terms. In the beginning of our continuum of care, we believe a structured environment is necessary to build a foundation. As people progress through our phases of treatment from Residential to our Outpatient and Addiction Support Services Programs, clients gain more independence and confidence. There is an acclimation back to cell phones, social media, cars, and other key experiential dynamics.
In Vivo® is about community and navigating these dynamics. There’s a big difference between living a life of abstinence and living a life centered around helping others; becoming spiritually fit, emotionally balanced, happy, joyous and free; which is our primary objective in developing our core principles of the In Vivo® philosophy.
What Sets Northbound’s Residential Program Apart from Other Residential Treatment Programs?
Simply put, we transform lives. We offer a full continuum of care, steeped in clinical sophistication every step of the way. We give participants the time and opportunity to address the causes and conditions of their addiction using our unique dynamic treatment modalities. We have first-hand knowledge of the tools and pivotal moments where the decision to heal is paramount, and, given this, have carved out programmatic services (such as music therapy and our Christian faith-based program LINKS) that, when combined with our Residential, Outpatient and Addiction Support Services Programs, create a truly individualized path to recovery that drives the results that Northbound has become known for in the industry. During your first call with us, you will complete an individualized assessment where we tailor a programmatic curriculum that will set you up for success. These programs strengthen your likelihood to gain independence and self-reliance—not only in recovery, but in life beyond treatment.
This program enables those in treatment to enroll in school—whether that’s a local college, university, or trade school—and includes the guidance and mentoring they need to succeed.
Our proprietary work program empowers those in recovery to secure employment—with the help of a Northbound career counselor—while continuing to thrive in their sobriety.
The Northbound DBT program is facilitated by our masters-prepared, DBT-trained therapists who help participants explore DBT skills that focus on gaining awareness, understanding, and insight into their own recovery.
Individuals who have suffered psychological trauma and who are chemically dependent require an integrated treatment approach, so we are focused on identifying and treating trauma symptoms as well as dependency.
The music program at Northbound empowers clients to engage with music and promote healing through self-expression, complementing other therapies to create a personalized approach to addiction recovery.
Over the course of four days each month, family members come together to reconnect with the person in treatment, repair relationships damaged by drug and alcohol abuse, and learn about the roots of addiction.
The Full Continuum of Care at Northbound
The first step toward developing a lifestyle of recovery is becoming substance-free. Northbound is proud to offer a fully licensed drug and alcohol detox center, which provides a safe, supervised environment where clients can achieve abstinence, overcome the symptoms of withdrawal, and begin the healing process.
Our gender-responsive Residential Programs are a safe, comfortable place where your clinical support team customizes your treatment plan, and helps you reach a new, hopeful place in your recovery, and your life.
The term “outpatient” means that you are no longer living in the building. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) requires at least 12 hours a week at our IOP treatment center, while our Outpatient Treatment requires less of a time commitment but is no less important to the recovery process. Through Outpatient Programs we see great increases in the likelihood of sustained recovery.
Addiction Support Services
Northbound Treatment’s Addiction Support Services allows those who have graduated from our Inpatient and Outpatient Programs to adjust to the realities of living a sober life. You are held accountable to your sobriety while increasing your independence and getting back to your family, friends, and those people whom you care for.
