Not every treatment center is worthy of your trust. Northbound Treatment is proud to have accreditation from the industry’s top organizations, which recognize programs for their impact and quality of treatment.

Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations

In 2016, Northbound became accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). This is the industry’s most sought-after stamp of approval, an honor they bestow only on organizations that provide, in their words, “the safest, highest quality, best value healthcare.” We wear our recognition as a JCAHO accreditation treatment center JCAHO accreditation with pride.

National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers

For more than a decade, Northbound Treatment’s leaders have held a place on the board of the prestigious National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP).

National Alliance on Mental Illness

Northbound Treatment Services is a proud member of NAMI, and we are driven by the same desire to eliminate the stigma associated with having mental health issues. We share the common belief that people need not suffer in silence with untreated or an undiagnosed mental health issue by eliminating barriers to effective psychological treatment. Northbound, working collaboratively with organizations such as NAMI, truly offers individuals and their families hope for an opportunity for a healthy and more fulfilling life.

National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs

The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) serves as an advocate and resource for innovative organizations. Northbound is a long-time member of NATSAP. Northbound Treatment is dedicated to providing effective care and education for young adults and their families. NATSAP provides guiding principles and standards that has served as a foundation for our Collegebound and Careerbound program and continues to shape curriculum and best practices.

Association of Recovery in Higher Education

The Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) provides education and resources for collegiate recovery programs and communities. Northbound is a supporter and member of ARHE and believes whole-heartedly in the mission of assisting recovering college students to be successful in school and life. ARHE is a professional organization that shares the same ethical and passionate standards as Northbound, continually providing young adults with the opportunity to recover in a safe and nurturing environment.

Department of Health Care Services

The Department of Health Care Services (DCHS) is the State of California’s licensing and certifying agency for substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs, and they are responsible for enforcing applicable regulations and standards across all facilities.  The DHCS is a dynamic department with ambitious goals and a talented, committed staff working hard each day to fulfill their vital responsibility to support the delivery of quality healthcare to Californians.  All Northbound facilities are licensed and certified through the DHCS, and their oversight and guidance are particularly important to the organization’s standards of care.

Leadership Team Recognition & Contributions

We are proud to commend Northbound Treatment’s Leadership Team on their continued contributions within the Addiction and Rehabilitation Sector, where their commitment extends beyond the walls of Northbound Treatment’s facilities.
